About Our Farm |
|
Established in 1890 by the W.P. Kirchem Family, is
roughly 110 acres and fronts on the beautiful Clackamas River.
Located
in the Springwater area, just outside Carver.
We hope to restore the water tower this year, which we have made into a gift shop featuring an ornament tree with 'Old World Christmas' ornaments!
Across the street is the Horse Barn, built in 2000. A tour of the barn can be provided Please ask, and dogs on leash only please.
We are trying to be more "Earth Friendly", using a
minimum of herbicides and fertilizers, so you will see a few more weeds.
We have a field of Natural trees, Nobles,
Pine, Spruce & Douglas Fir, no spraying, and a minimum of shearing. Our
customers love these trees, and their natural form.
About 70 acres are planted in different
varieties. We replant every year. Trees take from 6 to 10 years to
grow. Feel free to walk where you like. If you tell us what kind of tree
you are wanting, we will direct you to the appropriate area. This year on the weekends we are featuring refreshments, freshly baked gingerbread cookies . As always, the hot chocolate is complimentary! We have wagon rides on the weekends, weather permitting, pulled by our 1945 Farmall Tractor. Our goal is to please our customers and have this be a fun family experience. Your comments and suggestions are welcome. Reg & Cher Tollefson |
